Each moment is an opportunity to make a fresh start.
― Pema Chödrön
In our meditation practice and in our everyday lives, we always have the opportunity to make a fresh start. When we get caught by our stories, by our emotions, by our memories and plans, we are presented with the chance to notice and to come back to the present moment. Reminders are everywhere, if we only look.
About the Teacher:

Caroline DeMaio is a long-time Shambhala Buddhist practitioner and teacher. She is a retired school library media specialist and an avid reader. Caroline lives with her husband, Sal, in the hills of Barnet, Vermont where she spends her time biking, hiking, and cross country skiing with her black lab Pepper.

Please note that late registrations run the risk of not receiving the Zoom link in time for the event.

About the Dharma Gathering:

The Dharma Gathering is a perfect introduction to meditation practice and the Shambhala teachings, as well as an opportunity to connect with like-minded New Yorkers. The evening consists of guided meditation, a talk by one of our teachers, and discussion.

This open house is an opportunity to meditate in a supportive group setting, to learn about how to apply the principles of meditation to daily life, and to meet with others interested in mindfulness.
