"To be a warrior is to learn to be genuine in every moment of your life." - Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche

"Shambhala Training Weekend III: Warrior in the World," is the third retreat weekend in the renowned Shambhala Training program. This program provides instruction for sitting and walking meditation as means to further awakening the mind and heart, extending mindfulness-awareness practice into all facets of life.

This third Shambhala Training Weekend continues to expand upon the teachings of Weekends I and II.  Having discovered our own goodness and having begun to relax with the nature of fear, we can afford to be more daring, open, and genuine. With gentle fearlessness, we learn to step out of our conditioning and open to the freshness of each new moment.

We continue to relate to our perceptions and our world directly through meditation practice, and we further develop our capacity to relate to others and our environment with humor, kindness and strength.

About Weekend III:

"Shambhala Training Weekend III: Warrior in the World" introduces a meditation practice that builds upon the mindfulness-awareness techniques of Shambhala Training Weekends I and II, inviting students to open further to their environment and sense perceptions.

Senior Shambhala teacher David Nichtern will incorporate these teachings into the weekend’s talks and meditation instruction.

David teacher and a team of meditation instructors will be on hand to personally assist participants with one-on-one interviews and guided group meditation.

Weekend Includes:

  • Guided meditation practice
  • Meditation/Wisdom talks from a senior teacher
  • One-on-one meditation instruction
  • Concluding Sunday reception
