Eric Spiegel has been a student and teacher in Shambhala since the early 1970s. He is a student of both Chogyam Trungpa, Rinpoche and Sakyong Mipham, Rinpoche. For many years he held the teaching title “Acharya” and served as the senior teacher in the New York Shambhala community. In addition to a long career in finance, Eric has engaged in a lifelong contemplation of death, having supported many friends and students on the journey of joining illness and death with their spiritual path.
