Susan Piver has has been a student of Buddhism since 1995 and has been authorized to teach meditation in the Shambhala Buddhist lineage since 2005. She is the founder of the Open Heart Project, a global, online meditation community with workshops,  advanced courses, retreats, and guest teachers. Susan is also the New York Times bestselling author of eight books, including The Hard Questions, the award-winning How Not to Be Afraid of Your Own Life, and The Wisdom of a Broken Heart. Her newest book, Start Here Now: An Open-Hearted Guide to the Path and Practice of Meditation was released in September.
