Why I Meditate: Its Time I Friended Myself

I get so busy that its easy not to take time off to do things for myself… I’m on the computer all day at work and then come home and immediately sit down at my laptop and log on to Facebook and Twitter. The next thing I know its 1am and time to go to bed and the cycle starts all over again.

Meditation has begun to help me see the habits I have in keeping myself constantly entertained and wound up, its the only time during the day when I can try to be present without changing anything. I can already start to feel its benefits when I remember to take a breath or just enjoy the view while I’m speeding around during the day.
