You're invited to join us for a Shambhala Day celebration and community meditation on Sunday, February 11th at 1:30PM!

Shambhala Day falls on February 10 this coming year and will welcome in the Year of the Wood Dragon. The Wood Dragon is associated with qualities of wisdom, confidence, cleverness and honesty. In Dragon years, we may see revolutionary ideas. The Dragon years can also be known for reliability and a lack of arrogance. The element of Wood in the upcoming year makes this year less fierce and domineering than other dragon times, bringing us a year with potential for working well with others and being able to compromise when needed.

Open to meditators of all experience levels, community meditations offer us a chance to practice and study together, meet and connect with other members of our community and refresh our sense of well-being, goodness, and sanity.

This month will feature our annual Shambhala Day celebration along with a community meditation session, refreshments, and time to socialize.

If you need financial assistance, reach out to Mary Beth Minton at [email protected].

This event will be presented live, in-person at 37 West 17th Street #6W in NYC. Further information to be provided upon registration.

Meditation cushions and seating provided. The space is wheelchair accessible.

New to meditation? The Learn to Meditate sessions offered every Tuesday evening of the month can serve as an excellent introduction to sitting meditation.
