Shambhala Community Meeting: Introducing the Interim Governing Council

May 8th

Date details +

Meet and engage in a discussion with the new Governing Council of the NY Shambhala Community. We are at a new beginning point, able to look at who we are; what our needs and desires are as an urban spiritual community. The Council would like to meet you, introduce themselves and hear from you – what would nourish you, what would you like to see, how are you feeling and how can we engage you?

Please join us. This is an important next step. Please register (there is no fee) and mark it on your calendar. We look forward to seeing you.

The members of the council were chosen by a broad and diverse Transition Team who worked for six months to discern and engage the next steps as we were ending our 22nd Street phase. They represent Shambhalians of various generations, backgrounds and interests, and you probably know most of them:

Joy Gutierrez, Jane Heyer, Betsy Kenyon, Vito Lesczak, Parlan McGaw and Enrique (Rick) Redondo.

    Location:

Integral Yoga Institute, the Lotus Room

    227 W. 13th St. (between 7th and 8th Aves.)

It is important to register so that we know how many people to expect.

The doors will be open until 7:15.  After that we will not be able to get you in.
