How do we share our ideas, express our feelings, and stand our ground without completely shutting down, or downshifting to bossiness, drama, or bullying? Natural confidence has everything to do with self-respect: the simple, friendly, unconditional appreciation that we have for our own well-being.

In this class, we’ll learn how meditation can teach us to live life through the lens of self-respect. As we become familiar with how to steer ourselves back to the present moment, we begin to develop a sense of unconditional trust in ourselves and our world.

This class is part of Shambhala New York's Learn to Live Mindfully series: one-night workshops that offer practical teachings and meditation techniques to help us grow into more mindful, compassionate human beings. Classes include guided meditation, teaching, and group discussion.
