What does it mean to live in the moment? Is it exciting, fresh, clean? Is it boring or can it be thrilling? Living in the moment in New York City means we’re open to both the excitement of the little wins as well as the discomforts of the day to day.

Rather than deal with this potential lottery, our habitual mind may decide it’s a safer bet to play around in memories, fantasies, storylines and emotions. Basically the past and the future - anywhere but the here and now.  The practice of meditation trains our mind to return to the gentle awareness of our present experience, no matter what it holds. This sense of nowness can be beautiful and inspiring, even when it’s not what we thought it would be.

In this class, we'll learn to observe the movement of the busy, discontent mind and discover how to rest in the nowness of the moment.
