Acharya Richard John was an early student of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche. He completed the first three-year group retreat at Gampo Abbey in Nova Scotia, and has taught Shambhala Buddhist programs internationally. For twenty years he has concentrated on leading Mahamudra Retreats in Nova Scotia and at Casa Werma in Mexico. Richard and his wife Liz reside in Halifax, Canada.
