Tall Tall Trees

With special guest

Caitlin Warbelow Trio

New York City quartet Tall Tall Trees plays a unique brand of banjo driven folk rock. It has been described using the following words: raw, rustic, whimsical, muppets. Their self-titled debut, released in 2009 is garnering high praise for it’s unusual blend of bluegrass, world music, and indie rock. Founded by songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Mike Savino in 2006, along with guitarist Kyle Sanna, drummer Mathias Kunzli and bassist Benjamin Campbell, the band has developed a reputation for it’s high energy shows and dynamic musicianship.

May 29 :

Forro da Madame

with Liliana Araujo

This is the true flavor of Northeastern Brazil which is invading the clubs. The accordion cries and the zabumba (Bass drum) sounds an order for no one to sit still. A charming madame directly from Ceará, Brazil, the heart of forró, sings while skillful sidemen play harmony and percussion. Forró da Madame will "set the room on fire"! Let’s go forró!
