Sarah Freidel, Director of Operations
Sarah brings her background in strategic planning and operations management to our center.  Previously, she worked at Barnard College in faculty data management and operations, and at Perkins+Will as a leader of the architecture firm’s higher education strategic planning practice.  She is a member of the Shambhala NYC Governing Council. Ashley Dinges, Director of Development & Membership
Ashley brings management and fundraising experience to Shambhala, having previously served as Executive Director of Merrimack Hall, a nonprofit performing arts center in Alabama, and most recently as project manager of American Graduate Day, a seven-hour, live national PBS broadcast from Lincoln Center. She is an MBA candidate at NYU’s Stern School of Business and a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. E-mail

Georgia Pettit, Director of Programs & Marketing
Georgia is a marketing strategist with experience in content creation, website optimization, and social media campaigns. She has worked in integrated marketing for Fortune 500 companies including MTV, General Motors, Samsung, Squarespace and Revlon. In addition to her Shambhala studies, Georgia is a longtime practitioner of reiki and is on the path to becoming a full reiki master. E-mail

David Fraioli, Programs Coordinator
David recently relocated back to New York from Los Angeles.  Previously, he spent a year living and working at Karmê Chöling in Vermont as a program coordinator. David is a meditation instructor and teacher in the Shambhala tradition. He is pursuing an acting career, and is interested in bringing Shambhala principles to the path of the actor. E-mail

Geoffrey Gale, Operations Manager
Geoffrey comes to New York City after having served as the registrar at Karmê Chöling for several years. Geoffrey brings energetic attention to detail, spaciousness and warmth to his job as the face of Shambhala NYC. As a committed student of the dharma, Geoff also brings with him a wealth of knowledge about the Shambhala path, and he is currently training to become a meditation instructor.
